225 g flaky pastry
Salt and pepper
225 g grated cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 large onions, chopped finely
Pre heat oven 200°C, 400°F, mark 6
Roll out the pastry enough to line a flat tin and also cover as a lid.
Place one piece in the tin.
In boiling water cook the onions for 5 minutes.
Drain onions, in a bowl add the seasoning ¾ of the egg and drained onions.
Mix in the cheese.
Pour the mixture into the flat tin on top of the pastry.
Cover with the pastry lid.
Press the edges together.
Glaze with rest of the egg.
Cook in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
