30 g butter
2 onions, skinned and chopped
2 garlic clove, skinned and crushed
1 marrow, peeled, seeded and cubed
7 large tomatoes, skinned and chopped
40 ml tomato puree
40 ml chopped fresh mixed herbs or 10 ml (2 tsp) dried mixed herbs
salt and pepper
in a large saucepan over a medium heat melt the butter.
Fry the onions and garlic for 5 minutes.
Add the marrow and continue to cook for 5 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients, lower the heat, cover and cook for 35-40 minutes stirring occasionally
